CANASTA TWISTS



1 NATURAL NASTA

YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 NATURAL CANASTA BEFORE YOU CAN GO OUT

3 STRIKES

2 and 4 Player
You have to have EXACTLY 3 canastas (red or black) before you can go out. No more then 3 canastas and no less then 3 canastas to be able to go out. You can have more then 3 canastas but you can not go out. Set table as 2/2

38 SPECIAL

2 Player
You cannot go out until all red 3's are on the board. You must have at least one canasta for every red 3 you get (you can have more canastas than you do red 3s but u can not have less). If you don't get any red 3's you must make at least 1 canasta to be able to go out. All 8's are like black 3's, if there is an 8 on the pile you cannot pick up the pile. You cannot meld 8's until you are going out. Set table 2/1

357 MAGNUM

2 Player
You can not meld until you have at least one red 3 on your side of the table. You can not go out until you have melded 5's and 7's. You may use wild cards with them. Set table as 2/2

4 OF A KIND

2 Player
You must lay down 4 or more of each card on it's first meld. You may use wild cards as part of your four. Once you meld a certain card, you can add to them i.e. if you lay four 5's you can then add to them one or more at a time. Note: When picking up frozen pile on opening meld, pogo will not allow you to get pile if you have already put a wild card with the card you are trying to pick up. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

7UP

2 and 4 Player
You must meld 7's first and all of your canastas must be 7's or higher (7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K and Ace). You may meld cards lower than 7, but you can not canasta them. Canastas may contain wild cards. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

ACES CUT

2 and 4 Player
Aces must be melded first. You may use wilds with them and you can lay other cards with them. no ACES no MELD Set table as 2/2 OR 2/1

AROUND THE WORLD RACE

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA
Get those canasta's made as fast as you can!!!!
Red or Black ones!!!
Because once you get a red 3 you can't make any more canasta's
all you can do is meld
So make those Canasta's as quick as you can as your racing against the red 3's!!!!


BIG BAD WOLF

2 Player
The first person to take the pile is the BIG BAD WOLF and is the only one who can take the pile during that hand. Your opponent may NOT take the pile. Once pile is picked up the BIG BAD WOLF must make RED (no wilds) canastas only. The BIG BAD WOLF may not make any black canastas so be careful. Any canastas made prior to the pile pick up are ok and exempt from the RED nasta only rule. Your opponent may make black canastas Or RED if he chooses. Set table as 2/2

BELOW DECK

(TABLES SET 2-1)
The INVITER (the INVITER is always the Top Bracket)
chooses the game to be played for the first hand.
Then after EACH hand the player with the LOWER score
gets to choose the game for the next hand
Table is made 2/1 in case a player chooses cut for one of the hands
but if a game requires 2 canastas
then you will need 2 canastas to go out
even though the table is set for 2/1 or you will be disqualified.


BLACKJACK

2 Player
Blackjack equals 21. Your canastas must equal 21 to go out. If you go over 21, you "bust" and DQ (lose the game). Aces score as 1 or 11. Jacks, Queens and Kings are 10 points each. All other cards are face value i.e. A canasta in 4s would be 4, a canasta in 5s would be 5, etc. Set table as 2/2

BLACK TIE ONLY

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S

Players cannot freeze the discard pile with a wild card
They are allowed to throw black threes, but not wilds.


BLACK'S ONLY

2 and 4 Player
You are only allowed to make black canastas (canastas with wild cards in them). If you make red or natural canastas (with no wilds) you are DQ'd. You can not freeze the discard pile! Set table as 2/2 OR 2/1

BLACK'S RULE

2 and 4 Player
The first canasta each person makes must be black (canasta with a wild card). Set table as 2/2 OR 2/1

BLOODY CUT

2 Player
The first canasta each person makes must be red (natural with no wild cards). Set table as 2/2 OR 2/1

BOOK ENDS

2 Player
You must meld 4's and A's before you meld any other card. You must wait until next turn to meld other cards. 4's and A's can be melded in the same hand or in separate hands, but must be done before any other cards can be melded. You can use wilds with them. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

BROKEN HEARTED

(Tables set for 2-2)
All hearts are like Black 3's
If there is a heart on top of the pile you cannot pick it up
You cannot pick up the pile on a heart Ever
The trick is to toss all your junk cards and then the black 3's
and then toss the HEARTS as wilds
Keep your 2's and Jokers for Canasta's or until needed
You can go out anytime
Optional: Have players call the top card before taking the pile, to be sure they are not picking up a heart


BROKEN MIRROR

2 Player
You can not meld or canasta any card that your opponent has melded. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

BRUTALLY COLD

2 Player
The discard pile must remain frozen at all times. The first player at the beginning of each hand must freeze the deck. If you are the first player and are not able to freeze the pile, please call the host to the table to verify. The second person to play will then freeze the pile. You may pick up the pile but must refreeze on the same turn. SET TABLES TO ALLOW WATCHERS TO SEE CARDS! Set table as 2/2 OR 2/1

BUILDING UP

(TABLES SET 2-2)
All your canasta's must be in order
from smallest to largest or largest to smallest
For example: If u make a canasta in the 4's (red or black doesn?t matter)
and then you make a canasta in the 10?s
you cannot go back and make one in 5, 6,7,8,9,
They are UNTOUCHABLE. They become ?junk cards?
If you make a canasta in A?s then you make a canasta in 6s
you cannot go back and make K,Q,J,10,9,8,7
They are UNTOUCHABLE?they become junk cards. You can meld them all
You just can't canasta them
Ok as meld UNTOUCHABLE as canastas
Call Elliot Ness if you get a rotten dealer


BUTT-CREAM

2 Player
You must meld 2 aces and 2 jokers together on your initial meld. You must wait until your next turn to meld any other cards (including more aces and wilds)! You can pick up the pile and you can freeze the pile. Set table 2/2

CARD UP

2 Player
At the beginning of each hand, the top card on the discard pile will determine how many canastas both players need to go out. If the top card is red, you both need a minumum of one canasta to go out. If the top card is black, you both need a minumum of three canastas to go out. Set table as 2/1

CHECKERS

2 Player
Canastas must be made by each person in alternating colors (black/red/black or red/black/red). A red canasta is a natural canasta (no wilds) and a black canasta contains wilds. When a new hand starts you start your checkers pattern over either red/black/red or black/red/black. Set table as 2/2

CLUB ME (aka Jan Special)

You can not pick up the pile if a club is on the top. Set table 2/1 or 2/2

CODE RED

2 Player
You can only pick up the pile if you have a red canasta (a canasta with no wild cards in it) made on the board. You cannot touch the pile to make your red canasta either. You cannot freeze the pile! You can have as many black canastas (with wilds) as you want and can go out at anytime. Set table as 2/2

COLD AS ICE

2 Player
Whatever card is the first on top of the discard pile is what both players must meld on opening meld. For example if the first card on the discard pile is a 4, then both players must have 4s in their opening melds. If a 2, Joker, or any 3 (black or red) is on the discard pile first, then the person who first gets to draw picks the card they want for both players to meld first. You can lay down other cards and wilds with your opening melds. You can not pick up the pile on this game so set table to not allow it. Please type in the table chat area what the first meld card is. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

COLT 45

2 Player
Your opening meld must be 4's and 5's. You may use wilds with them. You must wait until your next turn to meld any other cards! You must make a canasta out of the 4's or 5's before making any other canastas. Set table as 2/2

CRAZY 8'S

2 and 4 Player
8's are used like black 3's. You can not pick up the pile if an 8's on top and you can not meld 8's unless you are going out. You can have a discard when melding 8s AND going out (or not). Set table as 2/2 OR 2/1

CRAZY RED 3'S

You CANNOT go out until all the Red 3s are on the board
You must have a nasta for every red 3 you get
If you DONT have the red 3s you still need 1 canasta to go out.
YOU MAY HAVE MORE NASTA THEN RED 3's... just not less to go out




DEAD MAN’S CANASTA

2 Player
You must meld Aces and 8's in opening meld. You may use wild cards with them and you may lay down other cards with them. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

DEVILS DELIGHT

The player who picks up the pile 1st in each hand is the Devils Delight
The DD is the only one who can take the pile during that hand
The DD must make RED nastas ONLY and NOT make any black nastas at anytime
The player who is NOT the DD may NOT take the pile but can make red AND black nastas
RED NASTA IS ALL NATURAL NO WILDS
BLACK NASTA IS WITH WILDS


DIAMOND MINE

(Tables set for 2-2)
All diamonds are like Black 3's
If there is a diamond on top of the pile you cannot pick it up
You cannot pick up the pile on a diamond Ever
The trick is to toss all your junk cards and then the black 3's
and then toss the DIAMONDS as wilds
Keep your 2's and Jokers for Canasta's or until needed
You can go out anytime
Optional: Have players call the top card before taking the pile, to be sure they are not picking up a diamond.


DIRTY OLD MEN

2 and 4 Player
YOU can NOT meld or canasta Ks or Js at any time! They may only be used as discards. Set table as 2/1 or 2/2

DIRTY OLD WOMAN

2 and 4 Player
YOU CAN NOT meld or canasta queens at any time! Queens may only be used as discards. Set table as 2/1 or 2/2

DON'T SHOW - 2 Player
Wild cards can only be used when making a canasta. You can not lay wilds on the table unless making canastas from them. You can not freeze the pile! Set table as 2/1 OR 2/2

DO OR DIE

Draw 2 Cards. 1 canasta to go out
This game is fast and furious


DR PEPPER

2 Player
Your opening meld each hand must be 4's and 10's (on the same turn). You can use wilds with them. You must wait until your next turn to meld any other cards other than 4's and 10's. Set table as 2/2

DUEL- 2 and 4 Player

You must have at least one red (natrual with no wilds) canasta and one black (with wilds) canasta before you can go out. Set table as 2/2

EACH END

You MUST meld 4s and Aces before making any nastas or melding any other cards
(You may meld your 4s on one turn and then meld your Aces on another turn).
NO other melds or nastas til u have EACH END


EGGSHELL - QUICKIE ONLY (1 OR 2 HANDS)

2 Player
GET YOUR CANASTAS UP FAST! Anyway you can! Red or black! Either is fine! Because once you draw a RED 3, you CANNOT put any more Canasta’s up for that hand! All you may do then is MELD whatever you have! So get your Canasta’s up FAST! Before you draw a Red 3! you may pick up and go out at anytime! Set table as 2/1


ELEVATOR

2 Player
If you have to meld 50, you only need 1 canasta to go out. If you have to meld 90, you need 2 canastas to go out. If you have to meld 120 you need 3 canastas to go out. Set table as 2/1


EVEN IN/ODD OUT

2 Player
Assign odd and even to players. One player is Odd and one is Even. Players can only canasta odd or even cards as assigned. Odd cards include 5, 7, 9, J, K and Even 4,6,8,10,Q. Aces can be used by both players. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


FACELESS

2 Player
You can not meld or canasta the jacks, queens and kings. Jacks, queens and kings are to be used in this game as discards only. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

FAST N FURIOUS (PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS QUICKIE CANASTA) - 2 Player
Only one hand is played and the player with the higher score wins. Set table as 2/1


FIFTY/NINETY

This is a exact meld tourney
you CAN NOT use any wilds when melding 15, 50 and 90 exact meld
You CAN use wilds when melding exact 120 meld
Your meld has to show on table before making any canasta's
so your opponent can count your meld.
If a wild is used when making 15, 50 or 90 exact meld you will be dq'ed


FIRE ENGINE #1

This game is played as regular cut singles
BUT you can only go out if you have ONLY ONE red 3
If you get none, 2, 3 or all 4 of the red 3's you can not go out
So, as soon as you only have only one red 3 you wanna go out
because if you draw another red 3 you can't go out
You can make as many canasta's as you want
but you just can't go out if you have more or less then one red 3


FIRE AND ICE

2 Player
You can only have 2 canastas - one red (natural with no wilds) and one black (must contain a wild) Set table as 2/2

FIRE AND SMOKE

Your canastas go up just like a Checkerboard
They alternate red, black, red, black, or black, red, black, red, either way
So, if the First canasta you put up is Red
the next canasta you put up must be black
then another red, then black
Black or red may go up first but alternate keep them in checkerboard order
You may go out anytime
but your canastas must alternate in red and black
Can be played in either Singles or Doubles
IN FIRE AND SMOKE please be sure to put your canastas up one at a time
Please put them up one at a time in order


FIRST CARD UP

At the beginning of each hand

This special tourney has 1 special rule
You MUST meld with Queens
(you can use wilds and you can pick up the pile as long as you meld Queens with your meld at the same time)
NO Queens NO meld


FOUR SCORE

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S.
This special tourney has 1 special rule
You cannot have ANY 3 of a kinds on the table in front of you
they must be 4 or more, you may use a wild
(if you have 3 of a kind in your hand you may add a wild to it to make a 4 of a kind before melding it)
Also you can meld a pair with 2 wilds


FROSTBITE - 2 Player

The first person that melds is the ONLY player that is allowed to freeze the deck or discard a wild card at anytime. Both players are allowed to use wilds in melds and canastas. You may pick up the pile at any time. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

FULL HOUSE

2 Player
You must meld 3 of a kind with 2 wilds of the same kind (either 2 and 2 or Joker and Joker) on your opening meld. You must wait until your next turn to lay down other cards. Example: AAA and Joker Joker or AAA

GENTLEMEN FIRST

2 and 4 Player
You must have kings in your opening meld each hand. You can use wild cards with them and you may meld other cards on the same turn. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1



GRAND SLAM

(Tables set for 2-2)
You cannot meld anything unless you can go out directly
That's it Easy. You can't meld unless you can go out.
You can't pick the pile up, because that requires a Meld
You can't Meld unless you can go out
If you take pile "YOU MUST GO OUT" use all cards no leftovers

HANG MAN

2 Player
The first canastas of each hand for both players must be either aces or 8's. If one player makes a canasta in aces, the opposing player must make a canasta in 8's and vice versa. You can not make a canasta in both! If you do, you DQ. You may meld both aces and 8's but can only canasta one! Set table as 2/2

HARD AS A ROCK

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S
The name fits the game, this is a very hard game
You can not meld any cards to the table
You can not freeze the pile
You can only make canasta's straight from your hand and never let it touch table
If you meld any cards or freeze the pile you will be dq'ed. Good luck!


HEAD OF THE CLASS

You must have a canasta in your initial meld
After you've made your canasta/inital meld, you may meld normally

HEARTS

2 and 4 Player
Hearts are like black 3s. You can’t pick up pile if a heart on top. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

Hearts Are Dead

Players CANNOT pick up pile if heart is on TOP of discard pile
You may meld hearts and wilds at anytime just no picking up a HEART

HEARTS ALIVE

2 Player
You can't pick up the pile unless there is a heart on top. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


HIGH 5

2 Player
Your first canasta in each hand must be in 5's. Your second canasta must be in one of the five high cards (10, J, Q, K, A). Your third canasta may be in anything. This applies to both players or teams at the table. Wilds are allowed for canastas. Set table as 2/2


HIGH-LOW

You must have one canasta 4-7 and one canasta 8-ace to go out. Set table 2/1 or 2/2

HIGHER ORDER

2 Player
Your canastas must go in order from low to high. Canastas do not have to be consecutive, just higher than your last one made. You may lay down more than one canasta in one turn buy they must be laid down in the proper order. Aces are high! Set table as 2/2


HIGH STAKES CANASTA

This is a Progressive rounds, canasta game
based on the number of rounds
This means the more rounds you play
the more canastas you need to go out
The following chart summarizes it.
RND 1** , you need 1 nasta to go out
RND 2** , you need 2 nastas to go out
RND 3** , you need 3 nastas to go out
RND 4** , you need 4 nastas to go out
RND 5** , you need 5 nastas to go out
RND 6** , you need 6 nastas to go out


HOLD YOUR WILDS

2 Player
You cannot use wilds at any time during the entire game. No freezing the pile. No using wilds to meld. Unless you luck out and never draw a wild the entire hand, you will not meld out either. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


I’M QUEEN, YOU BE KING

2 Player
The first player to make a canasta in queens may go out. Opponents must then canasta in kings to be able to go out. If you are the FIRST player to canasta QUEENS you CANNOT make a canasta in KINGS. You can not make a nasta in Kings until someone has made a nasta in Queens. They do not have to be the first cards melded or canasta'd. Set table as 2/2


IN A HURRY

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S
This special tourney is a game of canasta with a twist
The Twist is there is only 1 hand
The person with the higher score after 1 hand will be awarded the win

JACKS OR BETTER

2 Player
The first meld by both players in each hand must be jacks or better (J, Q, K, A). You may meld with wild cards but you must wait until your next turn to meld anything lower than a jack. You can only go out when you have a canasta with J, Q, K or A. Set table as 2/2


JACK THE JOKER

2 Player
You must meld jacks with a joker on your initial meld. Jacks and Joker must hit the table first. The joker must land with the jacks! Set table as 2/2


KNIGHTS TO THE RESCUE

2 Player
If your opponent makes a canasta of Q or better (q, k & ace) before you do, your knight ( Jack ) must come to the rescue. You will have to make a canasta of Jacks before you can make any other canastas. You can meld any other cards BUT NO CANASTAS until you make your Jack's canasta. The player who melded the q's or better may continue making nastas before the jacks are nasta'd but NOT after. No one can make any canastas until someone has made the q's or better. Set table as 2/2


LADDER 49

2 Player or 4 Player
YOU CAN NOT MELD 4's OR 9's. YOU CAN ONLY DISCARD THEM LIKE A BLACK 3. IF YOU DO MELD A 4 OR 9 IT'S AN AUTOMATIC DQ. Set table 2/1 or 2/2


LADIES BEFORE GENTS

Your 1st meld to the table must contain Queens
(you may use wilds and you can pick up the pile)
NO Queens NO meld
You need a nasta in either Kings or Jacks to go out


LEGACY

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S
If you are the first person to draw a card, and the top card is black
you may only meld or canasta anything between 4's and 8's
If the top card is red, then you can only meld or canasta anything between 9's and King's.
The aces are like black three's and you can discard them
but you can't meld Aces or meld the Black 3's until going out
You can't canasta Aces either
You do not have to freeze the pile because it is no pick up

LIGHTS ON

2 Player
Only red canasta’s may be made (natural canastas, with NO wilds in them). You can not add wild cards to ANY canasta (even if already made). Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


LIGHTS OFF

2 and 4 Player
Only black canasta’s may be made (canastas with wilds). Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

LOW CARD BONANZA - 2 Player
Only cards 4 thru 10 can be made into a canasta. Cards Jack through Ace can be melded but cannot be made into a canasta. Set table as 2/1 or 2/2


LOSERS

(Tables set for 2-2 UNRATED)
This game is so much fun, you play to lose
The person with the Lowest score Wins
It's harder than you think because you throw away all your good cards
and pray the other person gets the Red 3's
You need to change your entire line of thinking because you are playing to LOSE in this trny


LUCKY 7'S RULE

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S
You MUST meld with 7's in your initial meld
(you can use wilds and you can pick up the pile as long as you meld 7's with your meld at the same time)
First person to meld 7's is the only person who can go out that hand
The player who melds 7's first please say at table "Lucky 7"
so the TD will know who melded 7's first



MAX OUT

2 Player
The player who gets the most canastas in one hand wins (regardless of score). If there is a tie, additional hands are played until there is a winner. Set table to 2/1


MONOPOLY

(Tables set for 2-1)
Players must meld 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K,A
BEFORE a canasta can be made by anyone
Between the two of you all sets must be melded
Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.00
until every set is melded on the board between the two of you.
Then anyone may make a canasta. Red or black.
But not until all sets are melded. You can meld and pick up the pile at anytime
You need one canasta to go out


MUST MELD 5's

YOU MUST MELD 5's IN YOUR OPENING MELD
NO 5's NO MELD...you may use wilds


NAKED NASTA

2 Player
With the exception of wilds, you must meld everything that can go down on the table. Which means if you pick up the pile you must IMMEDIATELY play all playable cards on the board. Also as you go along everything that can play on the board must be played IMMEDIATELY with the exceptions of wilds. If you draw something that you have melded or canasta'd, you must play it on the board immediately. This means you can not discard it. For example if you have a canasta in 4's you can not discard a 4, you must play it on your cards. WHEN SETTING TABLES ALLOW WATCHERS TO SEE CARDS. Set table 2/2


NASTY 9’S

2 and 4 Player
9's are used like black 3s. You cannot pick up the discard pile if a 9 is on top and you cannot meld 9’s until you are going out. You can have a discard when melding 9s AND going out (or not). Set table as 2/2


NIGHTMARE

2 Player
You can not use wild cards at all until you are ready to go out. NO FREEZING ALLOWED When you set table DO NOT ALLOW WILDS ON OPENING MELD. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


NIGHT ON THE TOWN

All clubs are like Black 3's
If there is a club on top of the pile you cannot pick it up
You cannot pick up the pile on a club Ever
The trick is to toss all your junk cards and then the black 3's
and then toss the CLUBS as wilds
Keep your 2's and Jokers for Canasta's or until needed
You can go out anytime.
Optional: Have players call the top card before taking the pile, to be sure they are not picking up a club


NO 3 OF KIND

You may not meld three of a kind at all
(you may add wilds to it to make it 4 of a kind)
ALL sets MUST be 4 or more
You will be dqed for any sets of 3 on the table at anytime

NO ACES/NO OUT

2 Player
NO melding Aces and NO going out. Aces are discards only. You must keep one card in your hand at all times. Hit no discard when down to one card. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


NO FREEZE

2 and 4 Player
You are not allowed to freeze the pile. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


NO FREEZE/NO OUT

2 and 4 Player
You are not allowed to freeze the pile or go out at any time. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


NO Out

Players cannot go out at all
Keep at least 1 card at all times
YOU MUST HIT NO DISCARD IF IT IS THE LAST CARD IN YOUR HAND

NO PICK UP

2 and 4 Player
You are not allowed to pick up the pile at any time. When setting the table please check table option to not allow pile to be picked up. ( if a twist, uncheck option) Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


O CRAP

2 and 4 Player
You can not pick up the pile, freeze the pile, or go out at any time! When setting the table please check table option to not allow the pile to be picked up. Set table as 2/2


Odd and Even

The FIRST person named in pairings is EVEN
If you are FIRST than you can ONLY MELD Even cards (4.6.8.10.Q)
If you are SECOND you can ONLY MELD Odd cards (5.7.9.J.K)
Aces can be Melded by BOTH
EVEN 4.6.8.10.Q ODD
5.7.9.J.K BOTH MELD ACES


O HELL

2 Player
GAME IS PLAYED TO NEGATIVE 800. YOU PLAY TO LOSE, YOU CAN PICK UP THE PILE, IF YOU GET ALL 4 RED 3's IT'S AN AUTOMATIC DQ. Set table 2/2


ONCE BLACK ALWAYS BLACK

2 Player
Once you have made a black canasta (canasta with wilds) you are not allowed to make any more red (natural with no wilds) canasta’s. Set table as 2/2


ONCE RED ALWAYS RED

2 Player
Once you have made a red canasta (canasta with NO wilds) you are not allowed to make any more black canasta’s (canastas with wild cards in them) Set table as 2/2

This special tourney has 1 special rule
120 meld whole game (no 50's or 90's meld's)
IT'S NOT EXACT MELD. It's 120+ meld the WHOLE GAME
You have to show your meld on the table before making any canasta's
so 120+ meld can be counted by opponent and/or TD


ONE SHOT DEAL

In this tournament you cannot meld on table until you can go out
that means if you make a canasta you have to go out in the same turn
You must make all canasta's straight from your hand
They should never touch the table, they have to go straight to canasta's
Once you lay your cards on the table, you must go out in that turn
You CANNOT make a canasta from cards that have touched your board as meld
So if you have five 7's on the table you can not make a canasta out of them
You can have a discard to go out


OVER THE HILL

2 Player
No one may pick up the discard pile under any circumstances until there are 30 or less cards left in the DRAW DECK. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


OVER YOU

2 and 4 Player
You must have at least one more canasta than your opponent to go out. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


POPSICLE

(Tables set for 2-2)
Do Not Touch The Pile Unless It Is Frozen
A wild or a 2 freezes a pile, a black 3 does not
A red 3 at the beginning of a game freezes the pile
So the idea in this game is to keep throwing away all your discards because no one can pick up the pile until it is frozen
Once someone freezes it, you may then pick up the pile as in regular canasta
If the pile ISN'T FROZEN don't pick it up
NO POPSICLE


PROGRESSIVE CANASTA

2 Player
In the first hand you need 1 canasta to go out, second hand 2 canasta’s, third hand 3 canasta’s etc. Set table as 2/1


QUICKIE CANASTA 2 HANDS

2 Player
Play two hands ONLY. Winner is highest score at end of two hands wins. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


QUICKIE CANASTA 2 HANDS OR 2500

2 Player
Play two hands max or 2500 whichever is first. Scores are calculated at the end of each hand by pogo. High score wins. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


QUICKIE CANASTA 2500

2 Player
Play until one player reaches a score of at least 2500. If both reach it highest score wins. Scores are calculated at the end of each hand by pogo. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


QUICKIE CANASTA 3 HAND OR 3500

2 Player
Play three hands max or 3500 whichever is first. High score wins. Set table as 2/2


QUICKIE - RACE

2 Player
Once you have a red 3, you can not make anymore canastas! You can meld but can not make anymore canastas. If you have a red 3 when the hand starts, you can not make a canasta that hand. PLAY ONE HAND ONLY! Set table as 2/1


RED CARPET CANASTA

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S
Played like regular singles except you cannot meld kings or queens
unless straight from your hand to a red canasta

RED ONLY

2 Player
Only red canastas may be made (natural canastas with no wilds). You cannot freeze the discard pile at any time. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

RED 3’S SPECIAL

2 Player
You cannot pick up the discard pile until all red threes are on the board. If there is a red 3 in the discard pile, you can't pick up the pile that hand. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

RED 3 SPLIT

2 Player
You must have two red 3’s in order to meld. If you don’t have two red 3’s you can not meld at all the entire hand. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

REGULAR CANASTA

2 and 4 Player
Draw 2 cards and either 1 or 2 canastas to go out. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

ROYAL FLUSH

2 Player
You can meld or canasta anything you want, but in order to go out, you must first have 10's, J's, Q's K's AND A's melded. Wild cards are allowed. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

ROYAL PAIR

2 Player
You must meld queens and kings on opening meld. You can use wild cards with them and you can lay down other cards with them. Set table as 2/2.

RUN LIKE THE WIND

(TABLE SET 2-2)
You may Not meld anything your opponent has melded
Whether it be canasta already or not
This is the Standard Canasta format
It can be played Draw 2 cards 2 Canastas to go out
or Draw 2 cards 1 Canasta to go out


SAVED BY THE QUEEN

2 Player
Only a canasta of queens can save you. Make as many canasta's as you want, before you get a red 3. As soon as you have a red 3 you need the queen to save you. You will not be able to make anymore canasta's till you make a canasta of queens after receiving a red 3. Set table as 2/1 or 2/2

SCARLET LETTER

You can only touch the pile if you have a red canasta made on the board
You can't freeze the pile
and you can have as many black canasta's as you want
and can go out at anytime
You can't touch the pile to make your red canasta either


SECRET AGENT

2 and 4 Player
One player is selected by the host to be the Secret Agent. Only the host and one other TD will know who this person will be. If the secret agent is eliminated from the tournament, the player that first beats them will receive 100 bux. If the secret agent wins the tourney, they will be get the 100 bux. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

SEX ON THE BEACH

2 and 4 Player
You must meld 6's and 9's before you can go out. Set table as 2/2


SEX ON THE LAKE

2 and 4 Player
You MUST meld both 6s and 9s BEFORE making any nastas
You may use wilds and meld at anytime.
NO nastas til 6s and 9s are melded to the table
(6s and 9s must be on table before nasta).
Set table as 2/2


SIX SHOOTER

2 and 4 Player
6's must be in your opening meld. Other cards may be used. If you natural canasta (without wilds)in 6's you automatically WIN. Wild and freeze are ok. Set table as 2/2


SORRY

2 Player
You cannot pick up discard pile unless you are losing according to total points scored according to pogo (do not add points from cards laid on the table). The game starts at 0-0 and either team is free to pick up pile in first hand. Game is 2/2 regular. Wild and freeze are ok. Set table as 2/2


SPADE IN THE SHADE

(TABLES SET 2-2)
All spades are like Black 3's
If there is a spade on top of the pile you cannot pick it up
You cannot pick up the pile on a spade Ever
The trick is to toss all your junk cards and then the black 3's
and then toss the SPADES as wilds
Keep your 2's and Jokers for Canasta's or until needed
You can go out anytime
Optional: Have players call the top card before taking the pile, to be sure they are not picking up a spade.

SPARE CHANGE

You MUST meld both 5s and 10s BEFORE making any nastas
You may use wilds and meld at anytime.
NO nastas til 5s and 10s are melded to the table
You CAN meld anything any time...(5s and 10s must be on table before nasta)

STORM WARNING

(Tables set for 2-2)
In this game your First Canasta must be a Red and your Second Canasta a Black
in that order. Red first. Then black
After a Red and Black Canasta are up anything goes
Put a RED canasta up first, then a BLACK
then you may go out or put up any color canasta you choose
But you must have a RED and a BLACK up (in that order) to go out


SUGAR DADDY

2 and 4 Player
If you canasta both Jacks and Kings, you automatically win the game. You may use wilds in your canastas. If no one canastas both jacks and kings, high score wins. Set table 2/2


SUGAR MAMA

2 and 4 Player
If you canasta both Queens and Aces, you automatically win the game. You may use wilds in your canastas. If no one canastas both queens and aces, high score wins. Set table 2/2


SUICIDE

2 Player
You may not meld, make a canasta or pick up the discard pile unless you can go out. Only one canasta required to go out. Game played one hand only. When setting table please check option to not allow the pile to be picked up. Set table as 2/1


SWEET 16

2 Player

You have to meld 6’s and 10s at the same time and they must be first on the board. You can NOT use wilds. Other cards may hit the board at the same time. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1

SWITCHAROO

2vs2 partners tour
Played in 2 player canasta
Normal table settings
Play to 5000
First player plays to 2500 then stands
Partner sits and finishes game to 5000
Both players CANNOT stand at sametime
Doing so will reset game to start
Player that goes out stands first
If table is reset to start
Both teams go back to 0
and first team to reach 2500 will win.
Partners alternate starting rounds


TAVERN ON THE GREEN

2 Player
Your opening meld must consist of any combination of 8's 9's and/or 10's only. You can meld any combination or only one of these (8, 9 or 10) on your opening meld but you can not lay cards other than wilds with them until your next turn. You can use wilds. After you meld you must wait until your next turn to meld other cards. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


TIC TAC TOE

2 and 4 Player
If you canasta 3 numbers in a row, you automatically win. (Example: 4, 5, 6…9, 10, J.) Canastas do not have to be laid down in order or made in order but once the three in a row are made you win. Set table as 2/2


THIRD TIMES A CHARM

In order to go out, you must have exactly 3 canastas
If you have more or less than 3, you may not go out at anytime


TRIPLE CANASTA

2 and 4 Player
You cannot go out unless you have at least 3 canasta's. Set table as 2/2


TRIPLE THREAT

2 Player
If you get 3 of the Red 3’s you must stand and change seat with opponent. Call Host to table to help. Make sure you wait until host tells you to stand when changing seats. If both players stand, and game is reset, both are DQ’D. ONCE SOMEONE GETS A TRIPLE THREAT, NO CARDS ARE TO BE PLAYED! CALL HOST TO THE TABLE IMMEDIATELY! IF YOU BREAK THIS RULE YOU WILL BE DQ'D. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


TWIN ANGELS

2 Player
If you make a red (natural with no wilds)canasta first, you must make another red (natural) canasta before going out. If you make a black (with wilds) canasta, you must make another black (with wilds) canasta before going out. You can make other canastas in between but can not go out until you have made your two red or black nastas. Set table as 2/2


UNTOUCHABLE WILDS

2 and 4 Player
Uncheck box for "allow wilds in opening meld" when setting tables. Table setting will not allow you to meld wilds on your initial melds. Once your initial meld has been laid down you can add wild cards. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


WHERE'S WILDO?

2 Player
For every INITIAL MELD of EACH CARD you meld (4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K,A) you are not allowed to use any wilds! After you have a card melded naturally you can add wilds to that card at any time. Each initial meld of EACH CARD must be natural. Set table as 2/2 or 2/1


WORKING 9-5

2 and 4 Player
You can only make canasta's between 5's and 9's (including 5's and 9's). You may meld 4,10,J,Q,K,a but cannot make a canasta out of them. Wilds may be used. Set table 2/2 or 2/1


WORTHLESS ACES

YOU CAN NOT MELD ACES AT ALL
HINT: GOOD TO THROW AWAY CAUSE YOU CANT PICK THEM UP


YAHTZEE - 2 Player

You must meld 5 natural cards of any kind in your first meld of each hand. Your 5 natural cards must be the same card, i.e, 5 five, 5 jacks, etc. You may lay other cards with them but you must wait until your next turn to add wild cards to your set of 5 natural cards. You can add wilds with other cards just not your initial 5 natural set. You must have your meld on the board before picking up the pile. Set table as 2/2.

LOVEBOAT

Rules:
Table Settings:
First person called sets the table in the following manner:
No knocking,
1 min timer,
Aces high and/or low [host choice],
uncheck Multi-match,
do not limit players ratings from joining the table,
allow watchers,
do not allow watchers to see cards,
unrated, private with usual password.
Pairs will announce in the lobby winner name//loser name.
MIA's have til last pair reports to get in room and to their table, or so sorry, DQ.
If you gin and have the 3 of clubs as a play card, it's an auto win.
You must throw a heart suit card as the last discard when ginning.
If a heart suit card isn't thrown when ginning, it's an auto DQ.
Host decides length of game [IE: 1 hand, 50 pts., 100 pts., etc.]




TWISTED BOWLING

One Ball Wonder

Rules:
You may only throw one ball per frame for all frames 1 through 10.
If you throw a second ball in any frame you may not bowl the next frame at all.
If you bowl next frame anyway you lost the round.
If you throw both balls in 2 frames you lost.


Super Turkey

Rules:
The first player to get a turkey in the round wins their match
all remaining players play out the round as regular game highest score wins

Pick A Frame

Rules:
At the start of each round each player will pick one frame
any frame 1 through 8.
Your opponent is not allowed to bowl the frame you picked.
If you bowl Your out, you must skip the next 2 frames.


Open Frame

Rules:
The first player to throw a split (open frame) is the non winner.


Strike Out

Rules:
No strikes allowed if you get a strike your the non winner.
otherwise high score wins

Spare Nothing

Rules:
No spares allowed
if you get a spare your the non winner.
otherwise high score wins


Baseball

Rules:
Three strikes and your out other than that highest score wins.

Low Ball

Rules:
Low score wins
no 0'S OR GUTTER BALLS allowed
you must hit a pin with every ball.
If you have a 0 on your score you lost.


Sharp Shooter

Rules:
The td will pick and post a score
The goal is to hit the score exactly,
or get as close as you can without going over.
If you go over and your opponent doesn't you lost.
If both players go over the one closest to the goal score wins.
You must also hit at least 1 pin with every ball a 0 in any frame is a loss.



10 Hole miniture golf

Rules:
The goal is to knock down the number of pins equal to the frame number
frame 1 one pin,
frame 2 two pins
and so on through frame 10
If you get less than the number say you get 5 pins in frame 6 you lost
It's ok to go over but never under
a perfect game is 55 points.



TWISTED 8 BALL POOL

Bank the 8 Ball

Rules:
You must bank the 8 ball off of at least one rail before it goes into called pocket
not the Q ball the 8 ball.
Banking the Q ball into the 8 ball does not count.
Bouncing the 8 Ball in the corners does not count.
Riding the rail with the 8 ball does not count.
It must be a clean bank off of at least one rail


Dirty Q Ball

Rules:
If you scratch at any time you are the non winner


Dirty Bonus

Rules:
If you drop ANY ball into the bonus pocket AFTER the break you are the non winner


Dirty Foul

Rules:
If you Foul at any time
( fail to touch one of your balls when you shoot.
Hit another players ball before hitting yours )
You are the non winner


No Hands

Rules:
No ball in hand
if your opponent scratches, fouls, or times out you may not move the cue ball
you must play it were it lies.
If a player moves the cue ball for any reason they lost.


Centers only

Rules:
You may only call shots for the center pockets ( side pockets )
intentoinally sinking balls in corner pockets is a forfiet.
The idea is to shoot for center pockets only


Split table

Rules:
First player called gets 3 pockets at the top of the screen
second player gets 3 pockets at the bottom of the screen
You may only call shots on your half of the table
intentionally shooting into other pockets is a forfiet!


Power Ball

Rules:
All shots must be full power only.
EXCEPT THE 8 BALL.
If you slip or fail to use full power it's a foul
meaning on next shot you must tap the Q ball and your opponent has ball in hand.


Pyramid

Rules:
Each player will be shooting a triangle
first player called will get bottom corners and top center
second player called will get top corners and bottom center


Four Corners

Rules:
intentionally shooting into center ( side ) pockets is a forfiet!


Last pocket

Rules:
You must shoot the 8 Ball into the last pocket you sank a regular shot in.


Pick A Pocket

Rules:
Who picks will be stated on rules page.


Reverse 8 Ball

Rules:
Is as simple as it sounds sink the 8 ball as fast as you can.
It does not matter if it's your first ball or the last.
It does not matter if pogo says you lost.
First player to sink the 8 ball is the winner.


Reverse 8 Ball

Rules:
You can NOT get ANY ball into the center pocket AFTER the break
if you do you are NON-WINNER.
